In November 2009, GMA Network formally announced that they are returning Encantadia back to the television with Suzette Doctolero and Mark A. Reyes as the writer and director, respectively. An official teaser shown during the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival was attached to GMA Films' Ang Panday. It was originally planned to be released by November 2010, however, this has been pushed back indefinitely.

Rumored CastEdit

Although no formal announcements, story or cast-wise have been made, nearly every available, of-age talent in the GMA stable is being lobbied to be cast in the next installment of GMA's prime property. This might also be because the show effectively made many Encantadia alumni, most notable of whom are Dingdong Dantes (Ybrahim) and Iza Calzado (Amihan), household names through their memorable roles.
