Gurna is a supporting character from the Philippine fantasy series Encantadia, produced by GMA Network.
Gurna serves as a dama (handmaid) in Lireo's royal court, while also serving as a spy for Hathoria.
Gurna is manipulative, particularly towards Pirena. However, despite how she coddled her charge for much of her formative years as was ordered to her by Hagorn, she grew rather attached to Pirena. Despite her deceptive nature, her unbreakable loyalty to Pirena remains her most defining trait. She is also quick-thinking when it comes to thinking up of lies to cover her tracks and actions as a spy. She is able to feign compliance to her enemies long enough for her to catch them off guard. Gurna is very protective of her nose and she avoids it getting hurt.
Gurna was assigned to take care of Pirena on behalf of Mine-a, who was busy with her duties as queen. Gurna used this opportunity to her advantage. She manipulated and brainwashed Pirena into harboring resentment and hate towards her own mother, as well as her sister Amihan. When Amihan was born, Gurna convinced the young Pirena that Mine-a loved Amihan more and was likely to choose Amihan as her successor, though Pirena was the elder child. This led Pirena to feel insecure and jealous of her younger sister. This also led to Pirena eventually disowning her mother and sisters and defecting to Hathoria.
Gurna was tasked by Hagorn to kill baby Amihan but she failed. When Gurna took Amihan into the forest to kill her, she was shot with an arrow by Enuo. This incident caused Gurna to fail in her mission to kill Amihan.
As a spy for Hathoria, Gurna often sneaks out of Lireo in order to report to Hagorn. Hagorn also often uses her to carry out missions in Lireo, which often involve spying on and sabotaging the plans of the diwatas.
In Episode 43 it was finally made known to Amihan that Gurna is one of the Hathors and Gurna finally donned her Hathor armor. After the fall of Lireo, Gurna served as the head dama of Pirena's reign assisting and ordering everyone in Lireo.
During Pirena's exile,
